Shari Upbin
(Producer/Director) Shari is the Director of the Timeless Divas! Broadway Series at the Crest Theatre, and Lynn University Series in Florida, and now on tour as Broadway Live! She has directed Timeless Divas! in Hollywood and Dames in Divaland in New York and Florida with Sharell Productions (Sandy Durell and Shari Upbin). Shari is currently directing Confessions of a Jewish Shiksa: Dancing on Hitler's Grave which played at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, The Colony in Miami and will open at Zinman Hall in South Florida this season.
A theatre professional since the age of 13 (her dad was a writer for Jack Benny) she has produced and directed over 50 productions in New York and around the country including Vincent, The Passions of the Artist Van Gogh; Danny and Sylvia at the Forum Theatre in New Jersey; Life with Father; Fiddler on the Roof; Cabaret; The Roar of the Greasepaint; and Side by Side By Sondheim for which she won Best Director. She was assistant director to the world-renowned British director Michael Langham for the first Black-Hispanic production of Julius Caesar at the Public Theatre with Morgan Freeman, produced Bojangles with Charles Strouse and Sammy Cahn and Captain America with John Collum. Shari was one of the original producers of the long running Off-Broadway hit show One Mo' Time at the Village Gate in New York. She was president of the League of Professional Theatre Women in New York (7 years) and is a member of the National Society of Arts and Letters, Actor's Equity, Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, and is listed in Who's Who in America. |

(Producer) conceptualized and produced,with partner Shari Upbin, the original highly successful MAC Nominated 'Timeless Divas!' series that featured celebrity hosts Tovah Feldshuh, Phyllis Newman, Leslie Uggams, Karen Mason, Karen Akers, Tony Randall, Ben Vereen along with casts of the best of Broadway and Cabaret. She conceived, developed and produced numerous Cabaret, Songwriter and Master Class events with artists such as Tovah Feldshuh, Andrea Marcovicci, Julie Wilson, Sally Mayes and others. She is a producer on the Award winning documentary, www.broadwaythemovie.com with Emmy Award winning producer/director Rick McKay. She Executive Produced the CD 'Our Heart Sings' (in music stores worldwide) with Broadway artists Kristen Chenoweth, Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Mark Nadler, Heather Mac Rae, Donna Lynne Champlin, Christiane Noll. She was a Producer of the historic Vint/Age 2001 Conference on Ageism in the Arts and Media. Sandi produces the much acclaimed Annual Songwriter Series for the New York Sheet Music Society where she is a Board Director. She is a member of the League of Professional Theatre Women, the 100 year old 'Dutch Treat Club' and a performer.

It is said that most of us have several career paths in a lifetime.
